Laura Boffi is a product and concept designer. She studied industrial design at the Polytechnic of Turin in Italy and then she went to The Netherlands where  she took her master in design at the Design Academy Eindhoven, program Man and Humanity.
She focuses on the relationship between people and new technologies, trying to show in her design possible scenarios of a cultural development of those technologies. Her past projects investigated life and death in conjunction with nanotechnology and biotechnology. One of her aims for the future is to apply her design research to the field of medicine and health care, but sometimes her curiosity for the things she still doesn’t know makes her take unpredictable ways.
