Mattjakob Dal Pozzo is a generative artist and morphogenetic designer.
He started his career in Milan (ITA) collaborating with artists such as Antonio Barrese and Maurizio Cattelan blending for them his skills in communication and interaction design.
The installations at the mArt museum in Rovereto (ITA) - for M. Cattelan - and at the ZKM in Karlsruhe (DE) - for MID group - were considered an "integrating part of the experience of the artworks themselves" (A. Barrese).
In 2007 he was appointed teaching fellow for the class "History and techniques of new media" by Giorgio Verzotti at the Accademy of Fine Arts in Milan (ITA) and subsequently started developing an ever growing theoretical investigation on the connecting points of Art, Logic and Biology. Outcomes of this research started being exhibited in Berlin in 2008 with two installations at the Media Facades festival.
Deeply involved with his researches on generative algorithms and challenging the analog/digital prescriptions in visual arts, he moved to London in 2009 where he could hone his artistic practice. Currently he is focusing on machine vision, artificial intelligence for movement and real time rendering techniques for light, in the attempt to deconstruct body movements into digital responsive architectonics.
